An eminent probabilist, K. R. Parthasarathy (Kalyanapuram Rangachari Parthasarathy) was Professor Emeritus at the Indian Statistical Institute. He won the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology in Mathematical Science in 1977. He has authored the following books:
