Family
He was born on the 29 September 1900, the son of Rev. W.H. Parker, [ Who was Who, 1897-2007, London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 9780199540877 ] and educated at Christ Church, Oxford. Career
He was ordained priest in the Church of England in 1924. He was vicar of All Saints Church, Kings Heath in Birmingham from 1939 to 1957.
He was consecrated suffragan Bishop of Aston in 1954; [Bishop Of Aston (Official Appointments and Notices), "The Times, Monday, Aug 16, 1954; pg. 6; Issue 53011; col G."] and diocesan Bishop of Bradford seven years later. [Two New Bishops Nominated (News), "The Times Tuesday, Aug 15, 1961; pg. 8; Issue 55160; col C."] On retirement in 1971 he was appointed an Assistant Bishop in the dioceses of Coventry and Worcester.
