He was a right-handed batsman who played for Somerset.[1] He was born in Glastonbury and died in Burnham-on-Sea, both in Somerset.
Baily made a single first-class appearance for Somerset, during the 1902 season, against Surrey.[2] Playing as a tailender, he picked up four runs in both innings in which he batted, finishing not out in the second innings. He took two catches in the match and did not bowl.
