Haupiri is a locality in the West Coast region of New Zealand's South Island. Greymouth lies to the west. The Ahaura and Haupiri Rivers runs through the area. The population of the Haupiri statistical district, which covers a much larger area than the locality, was 378 in the 2006 Census, an increase of 48 from 2001. Gloriavale Christian Community School is a private coeducational composite (years 1-15) school with a roll of 127.
