Esmerelda-Yaruro is a proposed connection between two unclassified languages of Venuzuela, Yaruro (Llaruro, Pumé, Yuapín), 4000 speakers, and Esmerelda. They would be only distantly related, but Kaufman (1990) finds the connection convincing.
