Bas Dost (Coevorden, 31th of May 1989) is a dutch football player.

Bas Dost's 1st club was Germanicus, he played here in his youth period. After a few season FC Emmen decided to give Dost a chance in their youth academy.

Dost showed his potention at FC Emmen, the club decided to offer the talented striker a contract before the season 2007/2008 and that season they also gave him a chance in the main squad. He started as bench player, but later in the season they gave him more time to play and shine. Bas Dost scored his first goal for on the 8th of February 2008 in the game against Fortuna Sittard. After that Dos scored a few more goals for, most noticeable was his hattrick in the derby against rival BV Veendam. Dost scored 3 goals in this match and his goals made FC Emmen win the derby with 3-2.

Before this season Dost was one of the most wanted players on the dutch fields; SC Heerenveen, FC Groningen and Heracles Almelo were interested in the promising striker. After some hard negotiations Bas Dost moved to Heracles Almelo, the club paid FC Emmen more than 300.000 euro. Bas Dost signed for 3 years, with an option for 1 more year. Dost after he has chosen to move to Almelo: 'I have a good feeling with Heracles Almelo. The fans are fantastic and the coming time I'll mostly enjoy'.
