"Irene" is a 1940 musical film about a shopgirl, played by Anna Neagle, who attracts two wealthy admirers. It is a remake of the 1926 silent film starring Colleen Moore, which is in turn based on the hit 1919 musical play by James Montgomery.

While most of the film is in black and white, one sequence was filmed in Technicolor.
