Thalappavu is a Malayalam film from debutant director Madhupal with Prithviraj in the lead. The film portrays the social and political issues of the Naxalite era of 70s. Thalappavu is the adapted story of Naxal Varghese and Police Constable P. Ramachandran Pillai.

The film's cast also includes Lal, Atul Kulkarni, Rohini, Dhanya Mary etc. Thalappavu is produced by Mohan under the Civic cinema banner.

The film released on September 12, 2008 to mainly good reviews and critical acclaim.
