Crowne Plaza Niagara Falls - Fallsview is a Grand Classic Hotel located on the Falls Avenue 20 acre complex, the Falls Avenue Entertainment Complex, in Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada. Newly renovated in 2008, the Crowne Plaza joined the Intercontinental Hotel Group, and was formerly known as the Brock Plaza Hotel.

History

The building which is now known as the Crowne Plaza was originally built in the 1920's and was firrst called the Hotel General Brock and later was renamed the Skyline Brock. The hotel's name honours one of Canada's greatest heroes, Major Gerneral Sir Issac Brock. The Pigott Company of Hamilton, Ontario were the building company was successfully completed the large hotel project in record time.

Many notable guests have graced their presence at the historic hotel including: Marilyn Monroe, Walt Disney, Gene Autry, Jack Paar, Jimmy Stewart, Shirley Temple, Angelica Houston, Jessica Tandy, Bridgette Fonda, Matt Dillon, Matthew Perry, Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, Jackie Chan, former Canadian Prime Ministers PierreTrudeau and Paul Martin, and Princess Margaret (sister of Queen Elizabeth II).

In 1952 20th Century-Fox arrived in Niagara Falls and began to shoot the film "Niagara". Marilyn Monroe, Joseph Cotton, and Jean Peters all stayed at the Brock Plaza Hotel, with Marilyn staying in room 801.In 2000 the final scene of the film "The Whole Nine Yards" was shot on one of the balconies in the Brock Plaza Hotel.
