He is another deputy manager of Whitbury Leisure Centre, the fictional disaster-bound sports centre run by havoc-causing manager Gordon Brittas.Colin is a gentle, friendly character, yet one with hobbies of collecting dogs' mess and a character who doesn't take personal hygiene seriously. He is covered with cuts, boils and bruises, has several skin allergies and an infected hand, which, for much of the series is covered by a loose plaster, the remains of which are left on anyone who shakes his hand. Another distinctive feature of Colin is a brown cardigan (worn in most episodes from series two onwards).
Colin is the only staff member, along with Laura, to be fond of Brittas, however Colin actually admires him, possibly seeing Brittas as a role model. Whenever a small problem develops in the leisure centre, Colin turns to
Gordon Brittas to solve the matter, however he only makes problems much worse. In the" Brittas Empire", Colin is one of the main sources of comedy, providing much of the sitcom's humour. The humour stems from his frequent reports of accidents he's been involved in, his utter stupidity and filthiness. [Information gathered from The Brittas Empire DVDs published by Eureka Video.
