The club are also known by their nickname, the Dreadnoughts. Mullahoran GFC are a rural club located in the parish of Mullahoran in south Cavan, approximately 10 miles from Cavan town. Their current Manager is Niall Lynch.

History
Mullahoran have appeared in four of the last ten Cavan Senior Football Championship finals. They last won the title after beating Cavan Gaels 2-10 to 0-10 in the 2006 final at Breffni Park.[1] The club thus qualified for the 2006 Ulster Senior Club Football Championship, losing to eventual All-Ireland champions Crossmaglen Rangers in the first round.[2] Mullahoran are second in the all time Championship winners in Cavan with 11 wins, the first being in 1935. All aspects of the GAA from football to rounders, and hurling to handball are played at the club and numerous county and national honours have been won in the past in all these activities.
Players
Current Mullahoran players on the Cavan senior team include world handball champion Paul Brady, Eddie Reilly and Dermot Sheridan. Famous Mullahoran players of past Cavan teams include Damien O'Reilly, Phil 'The Gunner' Brady, Brian O'Reilly, Val Gannon and former Tánaiste John P. Wilson. Indeed Cavan football in the 1930s through to the 1950s were backboned by Mullahoran and Cornafean players.[3]
Hurling
The parish also have a separate hurling team known as Mullahoran St. Josephs. The club have been unbeaten in the Cavan Senior Hurling Championship since 1990. The club also appeared in the Division 3 Ulster Senior Hurling League in 2006, but ended up the losing side against Bredagh from Co. Down.[4] Mullahoran's U-14 hurlers also won the All-Ireland Feile in 2003, becoming one of the first Cavan teams to win a national hurling honour.[5]
Rounders
The Erne Eagles Rounders club [6] has been up and running in the area since 1984/5. The club is one of the most successful clubs in the country and can include the following in their list of honours:

- All Ireland Minor Mens Champions 1997, 2006–2007

- Minor Mixed All Ireland Champions 2001
- Gary Kelly Cup (Senior Ladies) Winners 1998 - 2000
- U14 Mixed Feile Champions 1998
- along with numerous silver and bronze medals at the Community Games National Finals
A number of the senior mens and womens team members have been recognised with All-Star awards at national level.[7]
Ladies Gaelic Football
Mullahoran Ladies Gaelic Football are strongly represented over the years, winning numerous titles from U12 to Seniors.[citation needed] The U16 ladies are currently the championship and league county champions having beaten Lacken and Templeport in the finals. Mullahoran Ladies also won the inaugural Ladies All-Ireland Club Championship in 1977. The team beat Newtownshandrum of Cork to win the Dolores Tyrrell Memorial Cup.[8]
Féile 2008
Féile was hosted by Cavan in 2008 and both u-14 boys and girls in Mullahoran hosted tems in their houses for the weekend of Féile. The boys hosted Yorkshire, England while the girls hosted St. Annes Rathangan, Wexford. Although some of the teams won some games none of them were successful enough to reach the final.
