Fernand Meyssonnier

Fernand Meyssonnier (1931 - 2008) is an executioner of the Algerian (French possession Algeria) last moments that were a French prefecture. He acted as an executioner from 1947 to 1961 and executed higher than 200.

He just inherited the back of Maurice Meyssonnier of father in 1947 when he could put the compulsory education that He was born as the family who acted as an Algerian executioner and worked at with an executioner assistant at the age of 12 years old away, and it was it with an executioner ancestors from generation to generation. If Algeria became independent from France in 1961, an attendant fell out of employment.

Because the Guillotine is private property of the executioners by the French law, the retirement back holds Guillotine, and Fernand Meyssonnier shows Guillotine depending on the coverage of the mass media after retirement many times.

Fernand Meyssonnier passed away on August 8, 2008.
