Deirdre Hyde

Deirdre Hyde, was born in 1953 and brought up in rural England, surrounded by nature. She studied Fine Arts at Reading University, graduating with honours in 1975.

She has never stopped painting. She finds the natural world infinitely variable and intriguing. Plants interest her in particular and living in the tropics since 1979, she has a wealth of forms to study. She is married to Juan Mata, a Costa Rican film maker and lives in Santa Ana, Costa Rica.
