Five of the approximately 25 cabins were burned on July 29, 2008 during the Cascade Fire, a large forest fire [cite web|url=http://www.billingsgazette.net/articles/2008/07/30/news/state/20-cascadesenia.txt|title=Camp Senia road seems otherworldly|date=2008-07-30|work= |publisher=Billings Gazette] . The camp was originally a dude ranch [cite web|url=http://www.ybra.org/aboutybra/history1.htm|title=History of YRBA|date=2008-07-30|work= About YRBA|publisher=Yellowstone-Bighorn Research Association] .
