Gender Spectrum Education and Training is a
Seattle, Washington -basednon-profit organization whose mission is to create more gender-sensitive and -supportive environments for all people, including especially gender variant andtransgender youth. Gender Spectrum provides education, resources, and structured training sessions for families and institutions. The work of Gender Spectrum co-founders Stephanie Brill and Aidan Key has been covered by [http://www.npr.org| National Public Radio] , as have the experiences of organization volunteers who are the parents of gender non-conforming children.Since 2007 Gender Spectrum has sponsored a national annual conference, Gender Spectrum Family, for families with gender non-conforming, gender variant and transgender children and adolescents.
In 2008 Gender Spectrum founder, Stephanie Brill published with co-author Rachel Pepper, The Transgender Child: A Handbook for Families and Professionals, ISBN 978-1-57344-318-0. The release of the book has been covered by
