Another of the landmarks of our city, Adam Hemmeon, Esq., formerly Mayor of Halifax, died on Tuesday morning in the 80th year of his age. Mr. Hemmeon was one of the oldest and most respectable citizens, and was associated with the liberals in the struggle for responsible government some thirty years ago. He was universally esteemed for his strict integrity and high moral worth, and leaves a large circle of friends and relatives to mourn his loss - Halifax Citizen.
