Two units at the Haiyang Nuclear Power Plant are under construction in the Shandong province, China. It is planned to go online in 2014 and will be the second site to house AP1000 units after the Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant. Groundbreaking happened one month ahead of schedule on July 30, 2008.
