History

International Ataturk-Alatoo University was established as a result of the agreement signed between Sebat education organization and Kyrgyz Republic Education and Culture Ministry in 1996 and started its education activities in 1997. The students enroll to the university according to the entrance exam administered by the university nation-wide. English is being the education language, several courses are offered in Turkish, Kyrgyz and Russian. Scholarship and tuition discounts are offered to the successful students.

Student acceptance to university is done according to the results of a special exam that is provided every year. Among thousands of candidates who apply, a small amount of successful applicants is accepted. Last year, among 8500 applications 350 students were accepted.The university is currently based on a 10.500 square meters campus, will have total of 45.000 square meters indoors, when the remaining construction is finished.
