Pooppathy

Pooppathy is a small village near to Mala in the Thrissur district of Kerala, India. It is located 50 km away from the city and is very self sufficient village in all respects.major populationof this area is depend on construction sector and it is very famous for skilled labourers in construction field. there are a lot of temples are placed in pooppathy such as thankulam siva kshethram , chulloor vishnu kshethram, madathikkavu , daivathingal , chundanga parammbil annapoorneswary kshethram, choolakkal bhagavathy kshethram , erummel bhagavathy , tharakkal bhagavathy kshethrametc which have a history of years. the major school in this region is ALPS primary school at pooppathy . it is aided school having a track record of moretan 100 years . there is library at poppathy near to panchayath office (pooppthy comes under poyya panchaayth)which played an important role in its history.
