Zoltán Takács (born November 26, 1983 in Budapest) is a Hungarian football player who currently plays for Debreceni VSC.

CAREER AT BUDAPEST HONVED
Zoltán Takács has spent his first 4 1/2 years of his career at Budapest Honvéd FC where he managed to play at the Hungarian top level except in the season 2003/04, where Budapest Honvéd FC was playing football in the NB II.In the first division of the Hungarian League, he managed to play in 72 games and scored 5 goals.
In the season 2003/04, despite the fact that Budapest Honvéd FC was in the second division, they managed to reach the final of the Hungarian Cup where they were beaten by Ferencvárosi TC by 3-1.This outstanding performance had propelled Takács' team into the UEFA Cup 2004–05 where they were only defeated by penalty shoot-out against the Polish side of Lech Poznan in the second qualifying round of this tournament.

CAREER AT Debreceni VSC
In 2006, the Budapest Honvéd FC coach Aldo Dolcetti was replaced by Attila Supka owing to poor results in the league. The appointment of Attila Supka as a coach had some drastic effect of the Budapest Honvéd FC squad as the contracts of many youngsters in the team were terminated and hence, this has given Zoltán Takács an opportunity to move to Debreceni VSC on a free transfer.
