Perry Mark Stratychuk

Perry Mark Stratychuk is an independent filmmaker, writer, musician, poet, and actor from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. A producer, director and cinematographer in several genres such as experimental short films, music videos, and documentaries, his 1987 production, the first science-fiction feature film produced in Winnipeg "Savannah Electric" was reviewed by Geoff Pevere in movie periodical Cinema Canada. Perry Mark Stratychuk spent several years at The National Film Board of Canada's English Production Studio in Winnipeg where, as Technical Coordinator, he provided assistance to independent filmmakers, such as John Paizs and Guy Maddin, as part of the NFB's PAFPS program. He also performed in a TV drama by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. Following studies in industrial design and computer animation he wrote and directed 3D animation segments for the Canadian edition of Sesame Street in conjunction with the CBC and worked there as Assistant to the Producer and Supervising Editor. Perry is currently working in the Microcinema and Machinima styles of film production.
