The song scores a scene from Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna in a night club in New York, where Maya (Rani Mukherjee), Rishi (Abhishek Bachchan), Dev (Shah Rukh Khan), and Rhea (Preity Zinta), start to fall in love with the wrong person. This is a turning point in the movie, as Dev, though married to Rhea, falls in love with Maya.

However, unlike all the other songs (excluding "Farewell Trance"), the song did not receive an award.
