"Encyclopedia of American Studies" brings together a wide range of disciplines related to the history and culture of the United States, from pre-colonial days to the present. With over 660 online, searchable articles and biographies and accompanying biblographies, the "Encyclopedia of American Studies" supports research and study in a wide range of courses and assignments at all levels. The Encyclopedia was created in 2008 with over 600 images.

The project is run under the sponsorship of the American Studies Association (ASA). It is updated and expanded quarterly. Miles Orvell of Temple University is its Editor-in-Chief.
