Ninety-Six District

Ninety-Six District was a former judicial district in the colony of South Carolina, created in 1767. This judicial district lasted until 1785 when it was separated into Abbeville, Edgefield, Laurens, Newberry, Spartanburg, and Union counties. The seat of the district was in the town of Ninety-Six, in present-day Greenwood
