Hadijat Batayeva [ [http://listserv.buffalo.edu/cgi-bin/wa?A2=JUSTWATCH-L;Mer2Hw;20020506164651-0400 Chechen war orphans made whole with a gift] , "Toronto Star", May 5, 2002] is a Chechen Muslim woman who, together with her husband Malik, has turned her Grozny home into a makeshift orphanage for street children of the Chechen War. For a period of time she had also operated her orphanage in a refugee camp in Ingushetia. She is usually referred to just as Hadijat.

She was the subject of the 2005 documentary film "The 3 Rooms of Melancholia" by Pirjo Honkasalo and the 2008 book "" by Åsne Seierstad in which Hadijat is the titular "angel".
