The John B. Whealton Memorial Causeway connects the mainland of the Eastern Shore to Chincoteague. The causeway is part of Virginia State Route 175 (Chincoteague Road).The causeway contains six bridges and crosses the following (west to east): [GMCO Maps & Charts.
