The village of Kambi is located in the municipality of
Keramia . It is built at a small plateau on the northern slope of Keramos, a peak of the White mountains (Lefka Ori ).It is located 26.4 km south of Hania at 500m a.s.l. It has 147 inhabitants. It can be found at 35° 25' 4.50" N, 24° 4' 10.00" E.There are three more small villages which together with Kambi form a community, which is part of the municipality of Keramia.

*Tsakistra (45)During the revolutions of the 19th century, it was the center of the Cretan revolutionists. A famous revolutionist (hainis) of this period, Ioannis Moutsakis was born here.
From Kambi you may start for the Psychro Pigadi refuge at an altitude of 1450 m where until recent years, the only access was by foot, a location with view virtually to the whole north part of the prefecture. You can get there with by car today, but the road is made of dirt and is very steep.
