CherryPal is an announced
PowerPC -processor-based computer utilizing theFreescale 5121e system-on-a-chip (SoC) integrated main-board. According to its producers, it is to useFirefox not only as its web-browser but additionally as its user-interface for launching other applications such asOpenOffice.org . The Register includes the comment "we still haven't seen a working unit with our own eyes," going on to note that CherryPal's producers also assert that the computer will consume only 2 watts of power and supportiTunes , both unusual claims. However the Register article does not refute the claims.
