Albert Sharpe (
15 April 1885 -13 February 1970 ) was an Irish stage and film actor. . His most famous roles were those of Disney's "Darby O'Gill and the Little People " and as Finian McLonergan in the Broadway stage production of the musical "Finian's Rainbow ". (The stage production differed from the film by not having Finian sing at all; the film version, made in 1968, hadFred Astaire in the role and allowed him to both sing and dance.) He was also a member of the Abbey Players. His last ten years were spent in retirement and he died in Belfast on at the age of 85.
