"Ajuga chamaepitys" is a species of flowering plant of the family Lamiaceae. Popularly known as Yellow Bugle, the plant has many of the same characteristics and properties as "Ajuga reptans".

Characteristics

"A. chamaepitys" is a small herbacious perennial that reaches 10-40 cm in height.

Medicinal Properties

* An astringent on account of tannin; used against diarrhea
* A bitter tonic that improves digestion
* Applied externally, helps to heal wounds
* Also prized for its stimulative effect on the contractions of the uterus
