Adam Sadler (born 1980 in Seghill) is an English former football apprentice and current coach. He is currently without a club having left Newcastle United following the departure of Kevin Keegan in September 2008.

Playing career

Sadler was a young goalkeeper at Newcastle United before moving on to enjoy spells with both Manchester United and Barnsley.cite web

Coaching career

In his late teens Sadler decided that he wanted to pursue a career in coaching and took up a position as youth coach at Newcastle United. They soon recognised his potential and he was elevated to the role of assistant Academy Director. During this employment he also periodically covered as first-team goalkeeping coach working with both Shay Given and Steve Harper.

In December, 2007 Sadler was handed the opportunity to replace Lee Clark and take charge of Newcastle United's reserves and subsequently led his second-string side to Northumberland FA Senior Cup success.cite web
