Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet Ngor

Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet Ngor or Carrie Cheng Yuet Ngor, JP (zh-t|t=林鄭月娥) (born in 1958 in Hong Kong) is the Secretary for Development of Hong Kong Government. She joined as civil servant in the Administrative Service in 1980.

Mrs. Lam had served in various bureaux and departments, including Director of Social Welfare Department (2000 - 2003), Permanent Secretary for Housing, Planning and Lands (Planning and Lands) (2003 - 2004), Director-General of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London (2004 - 2006), and Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs (2006 - 2007).

Mrs. Lam has two sons who are Jeremy Lam Tsz Sze, currently studying in Charterhouse School, UK, and Joshua Lam Yok Hei. Being an Honorary Teacher in Chinese University of Hong Kong previously, her husband, Dr. Lam Siu Por [ BA, MPhil (HKU); PhD (Cantab); Adjunct Associate Professor] , is now retired.
