Cacoxenite (Fe243+Al [(OH)12|OH6|(PO4)17] 17H2O) is a mineral commonly found in in magnetic and limonite iron ores. The name comes from the Greek κăκός for "bad" and ζέυος for "guest" due to the fact that the phosphorous content of Cacoxenite lessens the quality of iron smelted from ore containing it.
