Hello Asshole Records

Hello Asshole Records is a DIY punk record label run by Aaron Lake Smith, out of New York City.

The label started as a collaborative effort in 2004, between Ciara Doyle of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Tasha N. of Oklahoma. Tasha N. and Doyle put out the first 4 seven-inch records. In 2005, Tasha N. ran out of funds and Ciara Doyle passed the Hello Asshole label on to her friend Smith then living in Greensboro, North Carolina who used the label as a banner to put out bands from the Piedmont Triad-region of North Carolina including Piedmonster and Dead Elephant Bicycle, and Vacation. Smith has continued to run the label and put out all subsequent Hello Asshole cassette tape, CD, and LP releases. Hello Asshole Records has put out the creative work of bands and individuals firmly rooted in the spirit of DIY and experimental music.
