Leeds was
home schooled for her high school education. Leeds earned a degree inMusic Technology from Nashville State Technical Community College in 2000. She earned a degree from National College of Business and Technology in Computer Applications Technology in 2007. Leeds is the creator of the "Hero's of Airliner 93" web site [sic] , a website dedicated to the memory of those lost on Flight 93 during the
September 11, 2001 attacks . The web site is listed on the September 11 online archives of theSmithsonian Institution and the September 11 online archives of theLibrary of Congress .Political activities
Leeds became involved in politics since she turned eighteen. She worked on the
Walter Mondale campaign. She continued to help other Democratic campaigns through the years. In 2004 she worked on theJohn Kerry Campaign and this when she came to see that she did in fit the mold of a Democrat. Leeds liked the emphasis that Dr. Paul placed on limited government and theU.S. Constitution . Through her work for Ron Paul, Leeds discovered the Libertarian Party. She helped to reorganize the Libertarian Party of Metropolitan Nashville and Davidson County early in 2008.2008 election
Leeds is currently running as a Libertarian for
Tennessee House of Representatives District 58 against incumbent DemocratMary Pruitt . No Republicans are running in this race. The Davidson County election Commission verified (in a letter dated March 31, 2008) that Leeds will be placed on the November 4, 2008 ballot as a candidate for Tennessee House District 58. On Saturday March 8, 2008 the Libertarian Party of Tennessee officially selected Lisa Leeds as their Candidate for Tennessee House District 58 at their annual convention held in Nashville, Tennessee.References
