Michael Ryan (born March 26, 1973) is a developer of video games, and co-founder of Fat Frog Studios.

In 1995, he joined Looking Glass Studios as a quality assurance tester for "Flight Unlimited", a flight simulator for DOS. After a few years working as a technical support representative, Michael moved over to the design team and worked as a level designer on "", the first title in the "Thief Series". He later joined the design team of "System Shock 2", which was co-developed by Looking Glass Studios and Irrational Games, and published by Electronic Arts in 1999.

A few months after Looking Glass Studios closed its doors in May 2000, Michael joined Mad Doc Software, a newly-formed company just north of Boston. He worked as a designer on a number of projects, including "", a real-time strategy game published by Activision, and an expansion pack for "Return to Castle Wolfenstein", which was eventually cancelled and released as a free multiplayer-only download.

In late 2003, Michael co-founded Fat Frog Studios with Timothy Farrar, another former Mad Doc Software and Looking Glass Studios developer. They have since developed and released a title for mobile phones called, "Eye of Rana".

While continuing work with Fat Frog Studios, Michael also contracts with Floodgate Entertainment and Arkane Studios as a level designer for computer and video games targeting the PC and next-generation video game consoles.
