Julia Abigail Fletcher Carney, born Julia Fletcher (
April 6 ,1823 ,Lancaster, Massachusetts –November 1 ,1908 ,Galesburg, Illinois ) was an American educator and poet. [Herringshaw, T. W., "Herringshaw's national library of American biography", 5 vols, 1909-14]Educated at Lancaster Academy, Julia Fletcher achieved fame in 1845 for her poem "Little Things".
