Caroline Phillips

Caroline Phillips is a Basque musician.

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, Phillips moved to the Basque Country in 1992 after spending 8 years in Paris. She co-founded "Bidaia" a Basque Contemporary Music ensemble (now duo) in 2002 and co-composes with her husband, musician Mixel Ducau, co-founder of the legendary basque rock group [http://progressive.homestead.com/baskprog.html Errobi] . Their acoustic duo from the Basque Country offers a unique and creative vision for both their local roots and the greater world beyond driven by traditional Basque instruments - alboka and ttun-ttun - combined with acoustic guitar, hurdy-gurdy and vocals.
