Fictional character biography

On the alternate-future Earth designated Earth-691 by Marvel Comics, the Martians from H. G. Wells' "The War of the Worlds" returned in 2001 for another attempt at conquering the planet. After humanity's enslavement, men not used as breeders or collaborators were trained and forced to battle gladiator-style for the Martians' amusement; women were used as breeders to supply infants, eaten by the Martians as a delicacy. Jonathan Raven, also known as Killraven, led the Freemen, a group of freedom fighters against Martian oppression.

Old Skull was born in 1987 of this timeline, and is mentally retarded. He was enslaved by the Martians in 2001 and put to work as a laborer, helping to convert existing Earth buildings into Martian bases. Eventually he was made a gladiator and won a championship in 2010. He first met Killraven, then himself a gladiator, in the Madison Square Garden Arena in 2014. It was Killraven who nicknamed him "Old Skull." Together they defeated the gladiator Warr. Subsequently Killraven and Old Skull escaped the Gladiatorial Institute, and Old Skull later joined Killraven's Freemen.

Powers and abilities
