The South Wales Borderers Museum, Brecon is a museum dedicated to the history of the South Wales Borderers, an historic regiment of the British Army.

The South Wales Borderers Museum is based within the Barracks, Brecon, Powys LD3 7EB.
The South Wales Borderers
The SWB can trace their history back to 1689 and hold over 100 battle honours covering campaigns, conflicts and wars including the American War of Independence and of course the Anglo-Zulu War and their heroic defence of Rorke's Drift for which 11 Victoria Crosses were awarded.
The museum also traces the history of sister regiments such as the Monmouthshire Regiment and the older regiments amalgamation into the Royal Regiment of Wales.
The museum
The museum in Brecon holds over 3,000 medals in its medal room, including many of the VC's and a wealth of information and artifacts relating to the lives of its officers and men, their families and the changing history of army life down the centuries.
