Robert A Paquin III (b. June 15, 1984) is a politician in the State of Rhode Island. A Republican, Paquin is currently his parties' Endorsed Candidate for State Representative - District 19.
Background
The son of Robert A Paquin Jr. and Kelley (Mernick) Paquin, Robert A Paquin III was raised in
Warwick, Rhode Island . He attendedToll Gate High School , where he participated in Track & Field, Model Legislature, Mock Trial, and graduated with Honors. He was selected to attend theNational Youth Leadership Forum as well as the American LegionBoys State Program for promising youth involved in Civics, Government, and Politics. He went on to study Political Science at theUniversity of Rhode Island where he also served on the URI Student Senate. He is currently employed by Barkan Management in Providence, RI and resides in the Pawtuxet Village section of Warwick. He is engaged to Katharine J Miller of Chesapeake, VA.Political career
Paquin's political career began at the early age of 16. He worked tirelessly for such notable Politicians as Warwick, RI Mayor Scott Avedisian, City Councilman Charles "C.J." Donovan, and School Committee Candidate Dom Murgo. In 2008 Paquin's own political ambitions finally became apparent when he ran as a Delegate for Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee. Robert assisted in managing the Huckabee campaign effort in Rhode Island until the Huckabee withdrew from the race in April, 2008.
Campaign 2008
In May of 2008, Paquin announced his candidacy for State Representative in RI's District 19 (Warwick/Cranston). He is the endorsed Republican candidate for that seat, and is challenging incumbent Joseph McNamara, a Democrat. Paquin has also received endorsements from the Moderate Party of RI and the RI Republican Assembly. Paquin has a website which can be viewed at www.paquinforrep.t83.net. The election will be held on November 4th 2008.

Robert has been recognized on numerous occasions by such esteemed organizations as the United States Secret Service, the RI Legal Education Partnership, the American Legion, the National Spanish Honor Society, the RI Senate, the Offices of the Governor and Secretary of State of RI, the US Department of Homeland Security, and many others.
