Built on awetland , the building had to deal with a number of environmental concerns. Squalicum absorbed the students ofBellingham High School for two years while it was being remodeled. "Mountain tall and sky of blue;
Squalicum we sing to you.
Storm is brewing 'cross the bay;
Cresting waves of blue and gray.
Building pride and teaching wisdom;
Strength in honor, truth, conviction.
Mighty Storm we sing this song to you.
Squalicum to you we'll all be true."References
