Katamari model

Katamari model

The katamari model is a non-sequential software development model (a process for the creation of software) in which development contains no conceptual integrity and is the result of programmers attempting to patch a system together over time without being privy to the original intent or architecture of the system. Often the system lacks documentation which hinders programmers who may lack time, motivation, or sufficient training to discern the original architecture themselves.

The name Katamari is a reference to the game Katamari Damacy in which a small highly adhesive ball is rolled around the environment gathering objects in an apparently random manner.
