Zoë Davis was a fictional character in the Australia soap opera "Neighbours". She appeared on the show during 1986.

Her lifestory

Zoë was Daphne Lawrence’s exuberant friend from childhood, but the two hadn’t spoken in years when Zoë suddenly arrived in Erinsborough. She started chatting up Shane Ramsay, Mike Young and, later Jim Robinson. When Zoë learnt that Daphne was getting married to Des Clarke she convinced them to let her move in until after the wedding. Zoë ’s silly and mischievous behavior lead to her annoying both Max Ramsay, Paul Robinson and Clive Gibbons. Daphne reluctantly gave her a trial at the Coffee Shop, but lost the job after buying too much champagne for an office party. Zoë later temped at the Daniels Corporation until Sue Wright was promised the job application, but Sue was not good enough and Zoë got the job on a permanent basis. As Des’s ex-girlfriend, Andrea Townsend and her son, Bradley, came number 28, Zoë felt jealous about being slowly frozen out of the relationship with Des.

Her love life

Unfortunately Zoë accidentally broke her pet egg, Eggward. Paul Robinson feared she was out for Jim's money and told his father Jim so, whilst Lucy Robinson and her friend Bradley Townsend were angry about Eggward's 'death'. Bradley first put a dead rat in a shoebox on her pillow to scare Zoë out of the street, but Lucy was not satisfied with just that. As Jim Robinson dated Zoë Davis, Lucy and her eldest brother Paul fell out with her. Lucy was constantly rude and poured a jug of water all over Zoë. She phoned her and began making heavy breathing noises down the telephone. Zoë fetched a whistle and blew down the phone the next time a call was made. Lucy was left with a burst eardrum and gave up. She was nearly killed shortly after when she was stung by a bee on Ramsay Street, but Clive Gibbons performed a life-saving tracheotomy on her on the Robinson's kitchen table. Her cash-flow crisis

Des Clarke gave her counseling over her scratchcard addiction and warned here about going over the credit limit on her Pacific Bank credit card. Zoë's lottery addiction was also concerning the ever financially prudent Paul. She also modeled in a one off advertising poster for the Coffee Shop, to earn some extra cash on the side.

Her exit

After a short stay at a guesthouse in the mountains, Zoë returned to Ramsay Street, but was much more subdued and mature than usual. She pretended to be seriously ill, but Dr Clive Gibbons was not fooled, until Zoë suddenly felt a (real) sharp pain in her stomach and collapsed, having suffered an ectopic pregnancy. Zoë then paired off with her old boyfriend, Tony Chapman and visited him in England. Shortly afterwards Zoë was back when Daphne was admitted to hospital, suffering from meningitis. Zoë agreed to help single mum Susan Cole, by looking after baby Sam Cole, whilst Susan went for a job interview. Des then learned from the police that Zoë had taken out a second Pacific Bank credit card gone heavily well over its credit limit, so he wrote up a financial plan for Zoë, gave her debt counseling and forced her to cut up both her credit cards. She then went back to Tony Chapman in England.
