Garden Girl

After the birth of her daugher Alejandra in 1996, Moreno began to look into gardening as a way to get back in shape. Having just moved into a new home in Roxbury, Massachusetts, Moreno began looking for ways to be able to garden in an urban environment that lacked a typical lawn. Moreno refined her techniques, and coined the phrase Urban Sustainable Living to describe her unique gardening style.

In ????, Moreno combined her film background with her gardening skills to lay the groundwork for Garden Girl TV. She launched her website, [http://www.gardengirltv.com] , on which she posted short how-to videos on urban gardening methods. Her videos touch not only on gardening, but also on cooking, water gardens and aquaculture, crafts, and livestock.

In 2007, Moreno filmed the first season of Garden Girl TV. She is currently shooting season two, and is writing a book on urban sustainable living to accompany the series.
