"Taxus kingstonii". commonly known as the Kingston Yew, is a species of yew (described as a shrub or tree) found mainly in Taiwan, India, and China. It is named for David Kingston, a chemist from Virginia Tech, whose research has assisted in the development of chemotherapeutic agents derived from taxanes, chemicals produced by yews.
