Kiril Manolov

Kiril Manolov (10 0ctober, 1976) is a Bulgarian opera singer (baritone voice), currently performing at various music theaters and scenes across the world. Mr. Manolov is born in Sofia, where he graduated the Bulgarian State Academy of Music. He lives with his wife in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Biography

Early life

Manolov is born in Sofia, Bulgaria and is the first of two sons to intellectually based family. As a child, he exhibited strong and various musical talents. In addition to singing, he enjoyed playing piano, tuba and drums. Although he performed on several musical instruments, singing was his preferred choice from early age.

Career

Kiril Manolov Todorov (Kiril Manolov) is born on October 10, 1976 in Sofia ("Bulgaria") and received his education at the Bulgarian State Academy of Music. During his education he won several special prizes in various national and international competitions. Meanwhile he was involved in several opera house productions across Bulgaria where he performed the focal baritone parts in the operasDon Juan”, “The Marriage of Figaroby Mozart, “The Barber of Sevilleby Rossini andThe Troubadourby Verdi among others. During the same period he was invited to participate in the converts of Raina Kabaivanska, which are part of the PlovdivEuropes Cultural Capital (1999) festival and the Varna summer festival. Mr. Manolov specialized in Milano (Italy) with the Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Adriana Stamenova and in Vienna under the great prima of the Vienna operaPhD. Olivera Miljakovic. During his engagements, Mr. Manolov has the pleasure to work with the two of the great names on the international opera sceneRaina Kabaivanska, Anna Tomova-Sintova, Inva Mula, Olga Romanko, Svetla Vasileva, Tomislav Muzek and the conductors Kuns Kessel, Ivo Lipanovic, David Kresgenti and others. Manolovs brilliant voice and his wonderful stage presence created a strong impression on the management team of the Sofia opera house and in 2004 he was granted the opportunity to perform as a soloist for the National Opera. Since 2000, Kiril Manolov has been a guest performer on various opera stages across Bulgaria as well as those in Belgrade, Skopje, Nicosia, Thessaloniki and numerous festivals in Larnaca (Cyprus), Rhodes (Greece), Palma de Mallorca (Spain), Gars an Camp (Austria) and others. Since 2006, Mr. Manolov has been a regular guest in the performances of the National Opera House in Zagreb (Croatia) and the opera house in Split (Croatia) where he continues to perform with huge success in the premiere performances ofThe Barber of Seville” – Figaro, “Lucia di Lammermoor” – Enrico, “Faust” – Valentine, “Simon Boccanegra” – Simon, “A Masker Ball” – Renatto, “Nabucco” – Nabucco, “Aida” – Amonasro, “The Troubadour” – Count di Luna, “La Boheme” – Marcello, “Gianni Schicchi” - Gianni Schicchi, “Manon Lescaut” – Lescaut and others.For his performance of the part of Figaro from the operaThe Barber of Seville”, the State Opera House in Zagreb awarded Mr. Manolov with the prestigiousBest Male Performance of the 2006-2007season. The acknowledgment he received from critics brought him a constant stream of invitations from all opera houses in Croatia. For the 2008-2009 seasons, Mr. Manolov has planned performances in the premieres of the State Opera House in Zagreb – “La Cenerentola” – by Rossini andFalstaffby Verdi, the opera house in Split – “Gianni Schicchiby Puccini, the opera house in Rijeka – “Madama Butterflyby Puccini. Among his future plans are also invitations from Japan Arts for a tour in Japan with performances ofA Masked Ball”, an invitation for performances ofNabuccoin Brussels (Belgium) and auditions for performances in Sydney (Australia) and Italy.

2005/premier performance /The year 2006, was marked with opera performances in the National Opera Sofia in the roles of Bizet - “Carmen” - Escamilio, Rossini - “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” – Figaro, Puccini – “La Bohème” – Marcello, Gounod – “Faust” – Valentin, Leoncavallo – “Pagliacci” – Silvio, Puccini – “Madama Butterfly” – Sharples and in the Opera Theatre Ruse and Plovdiv, which included Mascagni – “Cavalleria Rusticana” – Alfio, Mascagni – “Cavalleria Rusticana” – Alfio.
