Ballygarvan GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in the village of Ballygarvan in south County Cork, Republic Of Ireland. The club participates in Cork GAA competitions and in Carrigdhoun divisional competitions.The club was founded in 1863 making it among the oldest gaa clubs in Ireland the clubs grounds are park liam mac carthigh and the team wears a red and white strip the club currently plays Hurling in the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship and Gaelic Football in the Carrigdhoun division The club also has a very successful Camogie section. Well known members included Ger Spillane a player with the Cork GAA gaelic football team and winner of a GAA All Stars Awards in 2006. Highlights in the clubs history include

*finalists in the Cork Senior Hurling Championship in 1888 and 1896
* winning the Carrigdhoun junior A hurling championship in 1977 and in 2004
*winning the Cork Minor A Football Championship in 1999
*winning the Carrigdhoun junior A gaelic football championship in 2002, 2003 and 2008
* probably the clubs greatest achievement was winning the 2004 Cork Junior Hurling Championship
