Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail

Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail

The Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail is a partially developed rail trail that follows the route of the former Mansfield Railway. If completed, it would potentially stretch 134 kilometres from Seymour, through Yea and Bonnie Doon to Mansfield, with an offshoot to Alexandra.

Currently, only six kilometres of trail is open, including one kilometre in Yea, and four kilometres in Bonnie Doon which incorporates the former rail bridge. The surface is gravel.

There are no firm plans to develop the entire rail trail.
