The Kisan Mazdoor Praja Party (KMPP) was a socialist [http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/articleshow/597558.cms] political party in the India. Although the party is now defunct and doesn't contest election anymore, it is logged with the Election Commission of India as having contested the very first parliamentary elections in 1951 in India. The party contested in 16 states and won 9 seats, including 6 in Mysore state [http://parliamentofindia.nic.in/ls/lok01/state/01lsmd.htm] , and 1 in Madras state, Delhi and Vindhya Pradesh state.
